My attempt at improving a dull day...
So, I went to the doctor today. I have lost a pound. Whoo-hoo.*rolls eyes* But as I figured, I have a cold, cough, and that is where I get the headaches. And I had to miss school to have someone tell me this. I missed Friday as well, but 99% of the school missed because they showed up and were told to leave because the electricity was out due to tornados. So it is automatically excused.I finished The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. I think I am about to try and read The Anatomy of a Hybrid, try being the key word. I have been studying for the ACT, but I am having a hard time finding interesting news articles. So far all I have found is about elephants with "self-awareness", a informing yet boring article on Macworld, and in informative article on New Jersey and gay marriage. Then there is your unending supply of Bush-bashing articles, but that is dull, so I move on to entertainment, and all I find is celebrity marriage crises, and their babies. Then there is sports, and I simply could care less about all the basketball, football, and baseball games over the ENTIRE US. So I suffice by reading the weather, and Science stuff, and get my daily quota in. Ok, I need to read up on Esther.

New cell phone that knows its owner

DoCoMo, one of Japan's top mobile companies, has released its new range of models with innovative security features which takes mobile security to a new level. This phone can detect when its owner moves away, provides a facial recognition locking system and has an inbuilt GPS system that can be used to trace the phone, if lost.
This amazing new security system is just a small black card which can be carried in the owner's bag or pocket. If the owner moves away from the range of detection of the phone it automatically locks so that nobody else could use it.
The system can be programmed to lock when the owner (security card) is 26 feet, 66 feet or 130 feet away. If the security card gets lost the owner could type in a password to unlock the phone but a new security card is needed to activate the system again.
A potential loophole here is that fraudsters could access the phone if the card is within the detectable range. To prevent this from happening, the facial recognition system can be used. The owner takes a minimum of 3 self-photos, up to 10 can be taken. These have to be with and without glasses, with and without makeup, indoors and outdoors, that is to give the phone a wide variety of choices.
Now when the facial identification system is activated the phone compares the image coming up in front of it with the stored image by checking the distance between the eyes. If it finds a match between the two images it unlocks. If someone tries to fool the phone by showing it a snap of the owner it uses another in built feature to check if the eyes are blinking. In addition to this identical twins can set up a four letter password as the next step of identification to prevent unauthorized access by the other.
The other innovative feature of these P903i phone is the inbuilt GPS system. So if the phone does get lost the phone number could be keyed into a site along with some other details and it would track the phone down to its location within accuracy of several hundred feet. These security features are important to modern day Japanese phones as they double up as a credit or a pre-paid cash card.
This system was designed by a female designer who has put in a lot of features which are women centric. The most interesting one being the one that the phone could be programmed to alert a woman of the time she is most fertile in her monthly menstrual cycle. This has been in answer to Japan's declining fertility rate. The other features are its pastel, curvy shape; its inbuilt recipe database and a button that activates a tone that helps a lady ignore undesired attention by pretending to take a call.

The Joy of the Lord is my strength.
I find such peace in fellowship with the brethren. My joy is now overflowing. I think I have finally found the joy that comes when God shows you somethiing, and you just want to tell the whole world. I know it was a few days ago, but the whole obedience thing has really opened my eyes, not simply pertaining to the word, but what comes with it. My hearts desire is to seek!!! And find, and share, not just on sundays, but everyday of the week, His word is living, and growiing, so I too need to live and grow in it.
Fellowship. It doesn't have to be in person, although that would be nice, I want to commune with these people, that I don't know too well, or lost touch with, or simply rarely see/talk to.

Obedience.
I have been thinking about obedience a lot lately, for multiple reasons. It has been said over and over again that to obey is better than to sacrifice.( Yes, I know it is in the bible) Well, to me to obey is to sacrifice. I mean you give of your time, will, or desires to obey God's timing, will, and desire (or your parents). Then when you think about it, Jesus obeyed His Father, that was a sacrifice.
Well that got me thinking. Through one act of disobedience Eve the plane for disobedience was set. She chose to obey the flesh, and that started an avalanche. By one action, millions of people followed whose actions were disobedient How much more would Jesus lifetime of obedient actions set the plane for us as Christians to follow in obedient actions. Even more His one act of obedience should be enough to make us want to follow Him in obedience.
I don't know how well I am saying this, it is all so very very big in my mind, it is hard for me to put it into something so small as words.
Then is says "Most assuredly I say to you, He who believes in me, the works I do, He will do also, and greater works than these WILL he DO. He said Assuredly he will do. WOW. Will we obey?
Just after Jesus says that he says: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." But that takes obedience. It then says that He will send us a helper- The Spirit of Truth. We would then need to walking in that spirit, following (obeying) what the Spirit tells us to do. What good is an instruction manuel if I don't read it, and DO what it says.
Does that mean that our love for Christ is shown through our obedience of His commands? I would think so.
I have been questioning myself lately, asking God if I am showing my love for Him by obedience? Am I daily sacrificing my will, and walking in His? Am I missing out on opportunities to bring Him glory by not obeying?
